Home / When plans change
When plans change, or something isn't right.
Variations, change requests and disagreements are a normal part of building. BuildSurely gives each one a clear, calm process.
Variations.
Extra or different work is proposed inside the project with a reason, a price, any supporting quote or drawing, and its effect on the timeline. If approved, the project value updates and any extra funding is arranged before the work goes ahead.
Change requests.
If a stage isn't quite right, the homeowner asks for changes on a specific condition, with notes or photos. The builder responds, puts it right and resubmits. It is a normal project step, not a dispute.
Request
Point to the condition that isn't met and explain why.
Respond
The builder replies, adds evidence or corrects the work.
Resubmit
The stage comes back for review, with the history kept.
If you still disagree.
Formal escalation follows a structured route with fixed steps, so nobody is left arguing by text.
Raise it formally
Either party escalates a stage that can't be settled through change requests.
Evidence window
Both sides add their evidence within a set period.
Resolution route
The disagreement follows the structured resolution route set out for the live service. The exact contractual mechanism is being finalised with legal and payment partners.
Outcome and payment action
The outcome is recorded and the stage payment follows it.
If someone stops replying.
If the homeowner goes quiet
Reminders go out and the time waiting is shown to both of you. Support can step in and the next escalation step is shown. The prototype assumes silence does not count as approval; final timescales will be defined before launch.
If the builder goes quiet
You can see their last activity, what has been paid, what hasn't, and the stages still outstanding, with your available next steps and a route to support. BuildSurely does not guarantee project completion.
Build with a clear plan for the unexpected.
Start a project and every change, request and decision is recorded as you go.
